01 Overview

At ClipCast, protecting user data, learning content and account information is a core responsibility.

This page outlines the measures we take to safeguard our platform, users and systems.

While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we are committed to maintaining industry-standard practices designed to protect personal information and minimise security risks.

02 Data Protection

ClipCast is designed with privacy and security in mind.

We implement technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect:

  • User account information
  • Saved clips
  • Notes and highlights
  • Learning history
  • Transcripts
  • AI-generated content
  • Subscription information

We continuously review our systems and processes to improve security as the platform evolves.

03 Encryption

ClipCast uses encryption technologies to help protect information both in transit and at rest where appropriate.

Security measures may include:

  • HTTPS encryption across the platform
  • TLS-secured communications
  • Encrypted transmission of user data
  • Secure cloud infrastructure

These measures help prevent unauthorised access to information transmitted between users and our services.

04 Authentication and Access Controls

Access to user accounts is protected through authentication and account security measures.

These may include:

  • Secure login systems
  • Password protection
  • Role-based access controls
  • Restricted administrative access
  • Monitoring of account activity

Access to internal systems is limited to authorised personnel who require access to perform their responsibilities.

05 Cloud Infrastructure

ClipCast relies on trusted third-party cloud service providers to host and operate the platform.

Our infrastructure providers maintain their own security programmes designed to support:

  • Physical security
  • Network security
  • Data redundancy
  • Disaster recovery
  • Service reliability

We seek to work with reputable providers that maintain recognised security standards and compliance frameworks.

06 AI Processing Security

Certain ClipCast features use artificial intelligence technologies to generate:

  • Transcripts
  • Summaries
  • Key takeaways
  • Flashcards
  • Learning prompts

Where AI services are used, content is transmitted securely to authorised providers for processing.

ClipCast does not permit customer content to be used for the training of public AI models unless explicitly disclosed and authorised.

We seek to work with AI providers that maintain appropriate security and privacy controls.

07 Monitoring and Threat Detection

We monitor platform performance and security activity to help identify:

  • Unauthorised access attempts
  • Suspicious account activity
  • Abuse of platform services
  • Service disruptions
  • Technical vulnerabilities

Monitoring helps us maintain service reliability and respond to potential security concerns.

08 Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide services
  • Support user accounts
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Maintain platform integrity

When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised in accordance with our internal processes and Privacy Policy.

09 Incident Response

If a security incident is identified, ClipCast will investigate and take appropriate action to contain, assess and remediate the issue.

Where required by applicable law, affected users and relevant authorities may be notified.

Our response process may include:

  • Investigation of the incident
  • Containment measures
  • System remediation
  • Security reviews
  • Preventative improvements

10 Responsible Disclosure

We welcome reports from security researchers and members of the community who believe they have identified a security vulnerability.

If you discover a potential security issue, please contact us with sufficient detail to allow us to investigate.

We ask that researchers:

  • Act responsibly and in good faith
  • Avoid accessing user data unnecessarily
  • Avoid disrupting platform operations
  • Provide reasonable time for investigation and remediation before public disclosure
