Welcome to ClipCast.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ClipCast website, mobile applications and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, accessing or using ClipCast, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

ClipCast is operated by ClipCast Ltd, a company registered in Scotland.

• AI-powered content generation
• Sharing functionality

Features may change, evolve or be removed over time.

05 Subscription Plans and Billing

Certain features may require a paid subscription.

Subscription plans may include:

• Monthly subscriptions
• Annual subscriptions
• Free trials
• Promotional offers

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Payments are processed through authorised payment providers, including Apple App Store and Google Play Store where applicable.

Pricing may change in the future. Any changes will not affect an active subscription period already paid for.

06 Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically result in a refund for the current billing period.

Users may not use ClipCast to:

• Circumvent content provider restrictions
• Redistribute podcast content at scale
• Operate commercial content extraction services
• Systematically download or store podcast content beyond normal personal use

ClipCast reserves the right to limit, suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or attempt to use it in ways inconsistent with its intended purpose.

ClipCast may impose reasonable limits on the number, duration or storage of clips, transcripts and AI-generated outputs in order to protect the Service, comply with licensing obligations and maintain platform performance.

08 Intellectual Property

Podcast Content

Ownership of podcast content remains with the original creators, publishers and rights holders.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of podcast content to ClipCast or to users.

ClipCast Platform

ClipCast and its associated technology, branding, trademarks, software, designs and content are owned by ClipCast Ltd or its licensors.

Users may not:

• Copy
• Modify
• Reverse engineer
• Distribute
• Republish

any part of the Service except as permitted by law.

User Content

Users retain ownership of personal notes, highlights and other original content they create within ClipCast.

By submitting content, users grant ClipCast a limited licence to process, store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

09 Artificial Intelligence Features

ClipCast may use artificial intelligence to generate:

• Summaries
• Flashcards
• Key takeaways
• Learning prompts
• Recommendations
• Organisational tools

AI-generated outputs are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

ClipCast does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of AI-generated content.

Users remain responsible for evaluating and verifying information generated by AI features.

10 Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

• Violate applicable laws
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Harass or abuse others
• Upload malicious software
• Attempt unauthorised access
• Interfere with platform operation
• Circumvent security measures
• Scrape or harvest data

Educational content, podcast content and AI-generated outputs should not be considered professional, financial, legal, medical or investment advice.

15 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClipCast Ltd shall not be liable for:

• Consequential losses
• Loss of profits
• Loss of business opportunity
• Loss of data
• Loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content
• Service interruptions beyond our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

16 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClipCast Ltd, its directors, officers, employees and contractors from claims, losses, damages and expenses arising from:

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
